Barolo DOCG Ricossa 2014
Out of stock
This Barolo from Ricossa is a powerful, pure and exquisite red wine from the Italian DOCG Barolo wine region in Piedmont, which is vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. Known as the King of Italian red wines.
In the glass this wine is a beautiful garnet red colour with ruby highlights. The nose is skilfully captured by a fruity bouquet. A potpourri of red fruits – especially red currant, cherries and raspberries, discreetly accompanied by spicy nuances.
On the palate this Italian red wine presents itself with a powerful, concentrated body, which is enveloped by pleasant tannins. The good acid structure gives this wine a lovely freshness. The finish is wonderfully long.
Vinification of the Ricossa Barolo
As soon as the Nebbiolo grapes arrive at the Ricossa winery, the grapes are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, this red wine is aged in wooden barrels for at least 24 months.
