Description
Intense sweet cherries and dark plums with an exotic spicy finish. Aromas of sage, thyme and black cherry are followed by deep, spicy fruit flavours and a full-flavoured succulent palate. All its fruit characteristics are smoothly balanced with low tannins.
Served to Oscar winners in Los Angeles as the Spanish red at the Oscars Dinner and chosen as a Wine Enthusiast Top 100, Honoro Vera Garnacha Calatayud is an incredible wine produced solely with 60 year old Garnacha vines.
From the D.O. Calatayud, produced by the Ateca winery. Honoro Vera is made using soley Garnacha grapes. The grapes come from vineyards that lie 700-1000 metres above sea level, on soil containing metamorphic rock and clay. Fermentation takes place in tanks of stainless Steel for 15 days.
