Owned by the famous, historic Paladin family, the Bosco del Merlo estate winery on the border between Veneto and Friuli, is operated on organic principles with minimal intervention. The vineyards are located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a region with an historical tradition for Ribolla Gialla. Iside was the goddess of magic and maternity. In ancient Egypt she was the symbol of fertility and reborn, particularly referring to land and nature. The fermentation happens at low temperature in a steel tank and it is followed by a long refinement process on the yeasts before bottling, so this wine is rich and full bodied from lees ageing. Straw-yellow in colour; the scent is sweet, with notes of wildflowers and white peaches. The taste is soft, enveloping and balanced, with a mineral component carried by a savoury taste and great persistence on the finish.
- The wine matches perfectly with fish, especially with baked seabass in salt crust.
- Try it also with a selection of blue cheeses.
- Grapes: Ribolla Gialla 100%
- ABV: 13%
- Shelf Life: 5-10 years
