Bosco Del Merlo Campo Camino Merlot CRU Riserva 2016
Out of stock
A beautiful barrel aged CRU Merlot. Campo Camino is a single-varietal, single vineyard Merlot from the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC, with an intense red colour and purple hues. A broad fragrant scent balances its fruity and spicy hints. On the palate, it is velvety smooth, full-bodied and harmonious, with excellent structure. Splendidly drinkable, as it has the advantage of being rich and moderately tannic.
Owned by the famous, historic Paladin family, the Bosco del Merlo estate winery on the border between Veneto and Friuli, is operated on organic principles with minimal intervention. No added sulphites. Sustainable vineyard management.
Hand harvested from a CRU vineyard, maceration of the grapes lasts for 20-22 days. At the end of this stage malolactic fermentation takes place, which provides roundness and softness to balance the typical fragrance of Merlot. Ageing takes place in 30 hl barrels for 12 months and concludes with a further 4 months of ageing in bottles.
