Out of stock
Cartizze is the Grand Cru of the Prosecco Appellation, grown in the most coveted hills of Valdobbiadene. Onlhy 1000 hectares on the steepest South facing slopes, are farmed by 170 different producers, as each hecatare of this prized terroir costs over €2 Million to own. It can only be harvested by hand as the land is so steep and inaccessible and as such it is always the last to be harvested.
The end product “CARTIZZE” is in high demand within Italy, so you will rarely find it being exported.
A parcel of land in the Cartizze zone is owned by the historic Montagner family winery, who produce this exquisite Cartizze Prosecco in its very distinctive ‘Atmospheric’ style bottle.
This is a fresh, very aromatic, floral, superior artisan quality Prosecco, with great finesse and a richness that sets it apart from other grades of Prosecco.
Almost clear in colour with a lively mousse and fine, persistent bubbles that harness the intense aromas of apple, pear and lemon. Intensely fragrant with a pronounced scent of acacia flowers on the nose. This is a Dry style of Prosecco with 18 grams of residual sugar per litre, so just on the cusp of Extra Dry. Not too sweet.
Made from 100% Glera Grapes.
Serve at 6-8 degrees
A perfect aperitif or paired with Asian style dishes, fish or cheese….
