LA BULLE de La Coste Extra Brut Champenoise BIO Sparkling Rosé NV
Out of stock
Made from 40 year old vines with 80% Grenache and 20% Cinsault, this is a seriously good value and delicious sparkling rosé wine. Made in the Champagne method, with 5 months on its lees and another 9 months under cork. It stands comparison with plenty of far more expensive vintage Champagnes: yeasty, creamy and with great breadth on the palate. The nose has an expressive fresh bouquet of red fruits and citrus. Fresh and floral. Aromas of raisins, yellow apple, and toasted white bread. Flavours of strawberry, yeasty tones, yellow apple and a bit of marmalade. Fine, delicate bubbles with plenty of finesse in this very fine wine.
Produced at the prestigious Biodynamic Domaine Château La Coste, that is also host to one of the most Uber Exclusive Luxury Hotel & Spa resorts in the South of France at Villa La Coste. A luxury retreat loved by A-list celebrities for its celebration of both Wine & Fine Art.
Located only 20 minutes from all the atractions of AIX (home of Cezanne), however the estate’s cutting-edge art, architecture, sculpture park and drinkable vineyards might detain you. Yet whatever the sophisticated charms of Villa La Coste, its specialness lies in its symbiotic relationship with Chateau La Coste. It is a short stroll down to the Chateau’s mirrored lake, complete with a bespoke Louise Bourgeois sculpture of a crouching spider. Provence never looked cooler than on this beguiling art trail, taking in talking points by Tadao Ando, Renzo Piano and Frank Gehry.
Adhering to biodynamic principles, Château la Coste strives to preserve the terroir, protecting its fertility, safeguarding the essence of the soil. The alchemy of blending lives on in a state of the art ‘cuverie’ designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and inaugurated with the grape harvest of 2008. This latest technology ensures the natural expression of the wine and brings new life to a long tradition. In 2009 the wines were given the French organic label “AB” in recognition of the respect shown to the land along with the methods used which are in perfect harmony with nature.
This wine is selling at £22 per glass at Marcus Wareing’s restaurant in London.
