Roberto Anselmi is an iconic rebel who famously divorced from the Soave DOC in order to have the freedom to produce much higher quality wines. He is in the exclusive club of the top white wine makers of Italy.
This is the only red in his stable with only 7,000 bottles produced annually.
Realda is a volcanic red fine red wine made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with aromas of black currant, casis walnut husk, black pepper, tobacco and vegetal notes. Soft on the palate, well supported by velvety tannins and good freshness. Persistent finish.
Definitely one to cellar. The 1983 vintage we tried was just as incredible as many a burgundian masterpiece.
